Across the River review

i watch a lot of horror films, and none of them ever scare me - but i have to admit that i deeply regret watching this before bed. bianchini doesn't rely on jump scares and other cheap techniques; instead he creates an atmosphere of tension that builds relentlessly and never allows the viewer any release until the end. with that said, the film is extremely minimal (and probably too long) and would likely put the average horror-fan to sleep - i would recommend it to the appreciators of atmospheric horror who are looking for something different.
